Tuscan organic farm, since 1992
“When man, driven to observation, begins to wage a struggle against nature, he initially feels an irresistible urge to subordinate objects to himself. But soon these impose themselves on him with such force that he realizes how right he is to recognize their power and respect their action.”
JW Goethe - The Metamorphosis of Plants
For us, everything starts here:
from a deep respect for nature and its teachings.
We are his guests and we keep this in mind every day.

Our Roots: From "Il Giardino dei Semplici" to Le Germandine
The Germandine were born in Liguria in 1992 with the name Il Giardino dei Semplici.
In 2009 we moved to Suvereto, in the heart of the Etruscan Coast, where we now operate as a Tuscan organic farm specializing in the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants.
Here we grow, harvest, and process our plants "from seed to finished product," following the entire supply chain.
We are certified CCPB – IT BIO 009 (Consortium for the Control of Organic Products), a guarantee of quality, transparency, and sustainability.
A reborn farm, 18 hectares of biodiversity
When we arrived, this house and its land had been abandoned for over ten years: forgotten by man, but not by nature, and full of potential. We restored them with love and green building techniques, respectfully allowing nature to make room for us.
Today, Le Germandine comprises 18 hectares of medicinal and aromatic plants in Tuscany, where mallow, nettle, horsetail, hawthorn, marigold, passionflower, lemon balm, and many other wild species thrive side by side and thrive.
A unique botanical mosaic, a small ecosystem that we carefully protect, from seed to finished product.
And we strive, every day, to help you discover our fragrant world, with a range of hospitality, experiences, organic product tastings, and courses to learn more about the beneficial properties of these lands' herbs.

Wild Agriculture: Our Way of Farming and Living
We believe in an agriculture that collaborates with nature and does not dominate it.
Our wild agriculture is based on three principles:
- Grow the plant in its natural habitat: we choose the most suitable plot for each species, recreating its natural habitat to avoid stress and invasive interventions.
- Caring for what already exists: in the scrubland we collect numerous wild plants: they are natural gifts that enrich our work, are good for our health and are also delicious to eat.
- Listening to the land: farming requires dedication and constant study. We're not romantics: we know how much effort this profession requires, but the land always gives back what you give it. And it's wonderful to involve you in our world, so you can experience nature as we do.
Our philosophy in collaboration with nature
For us, farming isn't about exploiting the land, but collaborating with it. We don't look for shortcuts, we don't promise miracles: we offer what nature allows us to create with love and respect.
Our goal is simple and ambitious: to help you feel well, naturally and consciously.
